November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

Lung cancer kills more Americans each year than breast, colon, and prostate cancer combined.

If you or a friend or loved one has lung cancer, come and learn about this disease – what it is, why it is so difficult to treat, and what progress is being made locally and throughout the nation.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 4 and Wednesday, November 5 (9 am – 3 pm both days) for the Lung Cancer Awareness Health Fair and on Thursday, November 20 for "Putting the Puzzle Pieces Together: The Latest in Lung Cancer Research".

A panel discussion moderated by Carleen Wild of NBC 15 will include:

  • Toby Campbell, MD – Medical Oncologist specializing in lung cancer and palliative care
  • Tracey Weigel, MD – Thoracic Surgical Oncologist
  • Greg Richards, MD – Radiation Oncologist
  • J. Scott Ferguson, MD - Pulmonologist specializing in lung cancer
  • Perspectives from several lung cancer survivors

To RSVP for this event, contact Colleen Gavin, (608) 263-0160.
