Kahl Receives Prestigious Appointment

MADISON— Dr. Brad Kahl (pictured right), associate professor of medicine at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), will lead the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group's lymphoma committee. ECOG a federally funded network of researchers, physicians and health care professionals that designs and carries out clinical trials for cancer research. The ECOG’s goals are to improve survival rates and quality of life for cancer patients.
“This is a great honor,” said Kahl, who is associate director of research at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and head of the UW Lymphoma Program. “In this role, I will have the opportunity to shape the direction of lymphoma research on a national level. I look forward to bringing the very best doctors and scientists together to accelerate research and make a difference for our patients.”
Currently, the ECOG has more than 90 active clinical trials in a variety of cancers. |
