Jarrard to lead Society for Basic Urologic Research

MADISON—David Jarrard, MD, professor, urology, has been elected president of the Society for Basic Urologic Research. The society facilitates discussion, collaborative investigations, and education on basic scientific topics and scientific advancements related to urology, emphasizing interchange of expertise among clinical and basic scientists. Jarrard is only the third physician to lead the society in its 23-year history.
Jarrard is a member of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center and participates in the Cancer Cell Biology program.
