Heads Up! Golf Outing 2008 is a success!

MADISON—The 2nd Annual Heads Up Golf Outing benefiting
UW Head and Neck Cancer Programs was a terrific success.
More than 160 people participated in the golf and/or dinner
event at University Ridge.
 Governor Jim Doyle was among
the golfers that made their way through 18 holes of adventuresome
golf in the warm summer heat.
During the dinner ceremony
that followed, inspirational presentations were made by
several head and neck cancer patients and their family members.
These personal stories of courage and commitment provide
a real life reminder of the incredible strength and conviction
so common among cancer patients and their loved ones.
